Run for a Cause: AffiniTea Raise ‘D Roof 2015

Running is much more meaningful when it has a cause. This is what AffiniTea proved as they held another successful fun run last July 5 at CCP Complex, Pasay City.

Amid of the inclement weather, runners persist on hitting the finish line especially knowing that this would benefit the He Cares Foundation, a Christian non-profit organization that helps extremely poor street children in Metro Manila, Philippines by providing basic needs like food, clothing, education and medical assistance, as well as spiritual support.

After the Brown Race last year, AffiniTea continues to promote healthy lifestyle and camaraderie among friends and family through active living like running, at the same time sharing to others and giving back to our community especially those who are in need.

The most fulfilling moment in a race is beating and hitting the finish line, making all your effort paid off. Congratulations to all finishers of the race most importantly to those who shine as they finished the race in a shorter span of time!

This is such a momentous event! Let’s continue to stay active with a healthy lifestyle and to keep on giving back to our communities and other people who are hopeless and in need.

Connect. Inspire. Transform

There are some moments in life which will let you remind that you have a great mission to fulfill on this world – Sending HOPE to other people.

Over weeks ago (so this is a late post. Hihi), I received an e-mail from the Public  Relation officer of  Light Network TV, a Christian TV Network in the Philippines, inviting me to be part of their Bloggers’ group.

I was literally surprised upon receiving the message since it’s been quite a long time since I had my consistent blogging.

Anyway, it was such an honor to be part of the team which motivates me to write even more. Not for the sake of blogging or flexing my writing muscles but for the sake of inspiring other people and sending hope to them.

Thank you Light Network TV for reminding me that I have mission to fulfill. Through the meet up, I was able to come to know with two great writers who have the same passion as mine. Kuya Joseph, an engineer and blogger at tumblr ( and Ate Madz, a fashion designer and blogger at blogspot (

I’m excited for the role I’ll be doing for this group. Age doesn’t really matter as long as you have the heart and desire to make a difference. Our life – no matter how ordinary we think – is destined to do extraordinary things. We are called to shake and change the world. Choose to be great!

Continue what you are doing for you will never know who you are inspiring! It is not in vain. Just be joyful and keep your passion to it. Every one has the story but the story of God should be told of all.

God bless every one!

World Suicide Prevention Day

It’s been over a year since this comment has attested me how powerful blogging is. This has reminded me of using what I have to reach people and bring hope.

Today, September 10, 2014, marks the World Suicide Prevention Day which started in 2013 through the initiative of International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO, About 3000 people on average commit suicide daily and nearly one million people die by suicide each year. Could you imagine that huge statistics of people committing and dying of suicide?

So what can we do? And what can you do?

Let’s bring HOPE to these suicidal people and to others!

There may be problems, hurdles, and challenges in life but that should never be the reason to end a precious life. Probably, you have a friend, classmate, or family related to you closely committing to do so. What you can do?

Be the light! Don’t get tired to remind those people that life is not really smooth sailing. That life is tough so we’ve got to face it. That there are undesirable circumstances that we need to overcome.

We have to PREVENT suicide. Prevention is always better than cure. And I believe that suicide should never happen and it does not have to happen. Ending your life is not the answer to everything that’s confusing you to think normally. Ask help and there are a lot of people willing to help you. Don’t ever think that no one is bothering or caring you because there are a lot of them willing to save you.

If you’re about to commit suicide now, throw away that idea already. Your life is so precious and there are lot of opportunities in store for you. You may feel unloved, unwanted or hated but believe me there is someone up there who really loves you so much. His love for you is insurmountable and He’s with you in your journey.

And we can only find HOPE in Him.
